Keila is a sculptor and mixed media artist that focuses her artwork on personal history and interpersonal relationships with her family. Her process of creating sculptures and narrations in her life involves use of text variations, family photographs and heirlooms. She enjoys distorting and alternating what information is made available to the viewer to match her own experience with associated with a certain event or person. Keila has also been a musician for the majority of her life and is currently teaching herself how to play the drums just like her late father did. She plays in a band with some of her closest friends and they are currently in the process of recording an EP.
